What is Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake?
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake is a modern reimagining of the classic third major installment of the critically-acclaimed Dragon Quest series of role-playing games.
Featuring modern visuals and enhanced gameplay for current-generation platforms, Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake takes both old and new players on a grand adventure to save the world from the reviled Archfiend known as Baramos.
Story
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake follows the journey of the Protagonist, a brave warrior from the small kingdom of Aliahan and the child of the legendary hero Ortega.
Upon reaching their 16th birthday, the Protagonist is summoned by the king to go on a perilous quest: to inherit the will of the their father Ortega and defeat the Archfiend Baramos who has emerged from the depths of a dark realm. The fated hero soon embarks on a journey to save the world with mysteries and unknown dangers awaiting them at every turn.
New Features
Ortega’s Adventure
Additional features not found in the original title have also been included in the remake, most notably the brand new story episode Ortega’s Adventure. This playable campaign allows you to take control you the legendary hero Ortega, the Protagonist’s father, to shed light on events that occurred prior to the start of the game’s main story.
New Monster Wrangler Job
A new character job called the Monster Wrangler also makes its appearance in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake. It is essentially the class that made its debut in Dragon Quest X released only Japan as an online multiplayer title.

Allies with this unconventional vocation do battle with an array of monstrous abilities. Not only can they learn attacks which deal damage to multiple enemies at once, they are also capable of using abilities which heal their companions.
