My late father had an Ercoupe as a retirement project and hobby. He took me up in it one time. He was based at the Twin Falls, Idaho airport. I love that he had that as a source of joy in his retirement years.

You have a road grader. 100% perfect for the job of maintaining the air strip and roads.

All said and done, that camper is not in bad shape. Clean that sucker out, get it setup with some solar panels and batteries, and you have yourself a fly-in airBNB.

"This is our abandoned air ranch, we bought it using our whole life savings on almost no noticez and we're going to fix it up. In todays episode we've only been here 2 days and we're continuing the tour just to take stock of what we have." Also, a roadmap of the project, like a do to list, where you show it, and then point to the part that this particular video is about. That way the scale of the project and content to come is known, and it feels like the audience is along for the journey.

a simple drag made from a piece of chain link fence that you could drag behind your jeep would do a lot for the runways and roads.

Looks like a lot of work. Once you have the grader up and running then the place will really shape up quite nicely. I am sure that most of it is overgrown debris that is laying around. Lots to scrap and clean up.

Get a land plane behind a good size tractor and get runnways smooth and have a company coat i wiith dust abatement. Getting your own bird in the hangar will be so nice. This place is goiung to be amazing with some much needed love.

Hate to tell you this but those scratch marks on the Nissan are from a chupacabra. Just don't make eye contact and you will be fine.

Been doing carpentry work with my father my whole life, that house (as long as you're not prissy) seems to need very little to be a fantastic place to live.
Weve renovated houses that look like your crumbling hangers before so it's exciting to see something in as good shape as the house.

My first thought on the trailer was you need gloves and a full hazmat suit!

That camper isn't too bad, at least cosmetically. Just needs a super thorough cleaning or two and she's good as new. I'm curious as to future plans. Will you first start renovating the house first, or something else? Maybe you can try doing a dry pour concrete strip for the roller doors, and other areas.

I would see if camper will come out of tent, in the video it’s hard to tell if it’s up against the conex boxes, if it will see if camper has a generator or use the one from the barn with all the tools, test the fridge, cooker, microwave, and shower. If all ok use what ever you can find to make camper weather tight , deep clean camper and tow it down to the ranch. Hook up power and water.
Now you have somewhere to live while you work on the ranch. Good luck eagerly awaiting the opening of the conex boxes.

Get that grader going if you can, far better than a tractor at grading.

Instead of herb o matic I believe you have to change it to man O man. Such a cool property with lots of cool stuff and that sweet airbnb camper, turn key real to rent ..already a money maker. But on the real side...that is a great place and unlimited potential. Can't wait to see the renovations begin.

If you ever get buyers remorse look at it this way. You bought two beautiful antique aircraft and got a free airport ranch. :) Not that the v tail is unimpressive but for me, that twin tail in the fabric Quonset hut is spectacular. You made a great buy!

This place is nice, when your frame of reference was the bomb shelter.

I bet that old ass grader will fire up. Check the oil, fuel, coolant. As long as weather didn't get into the cylinders or crankcase and it tuns over good chance it'll start. It's an old mechanical injection so u crack the line by the cylinders to see if fuel & pressure is making to it. You'll need starting fluid and stout batteries.

You got a new viewer from the Netherlands, what a great escape from the city to go and live there.
The cleaning of the property is going to be a great adventure of its own.

Watch out for rattlesnakes and scorpions. I had a place in Crown King AZ, we always wore tall leather boots and if course a side arm for Javalina, mountain lions, bobcats etc.

You should attach a PLB to your shirt if something happens on take off or landing there no one around to help you like at an airport. ELT may not work or even activate where a $300 PLB just hit the button and help will come.
